The Department of Community & Recreation Services strives to provide programming to all Town of East Greenbush residents throughout the calendar year.  With our wide variety of programs we hope to engage the community to come together and attend these events within the Town we all call home.  By working with local businesses, we have the opportunity to hold annual events within our department the community has found fun and rewarding to attend.  Our “After School Bowling” program is a staple amongst The East Greenbush Central School District and the children of our community.  We also have our six week Summer Camp program held at The East Greenbush Town Park that has provided children the opportunity to spend their summers with friends and making life long memories.  The Department holds Music in the Park every Tuesday in August in Onderdonk Park with live music and food vendors for residents to enjoy on a summer evening.  In the fall we hold our Saturday in the Park festival where we organize a fun filled day for residents with live music, vendors of all varieties, food, and numerous activities for residents to enjoy while exploring our beautiful community.  For more information on these events and others contact The Department of Community & Recreation Services at 518-477-4194.

Summer Camp 2013

 The community & Recreation services Department is pleased to announce the return of Summer Day Camp for 2013.  Below is the link for the 2013 Summer Day Camp Application.  Day Camp runs from July 8th-August 16th, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm and is broken up into two (2) Three week sessions.  Additional policies will be handed out after the next board meeting (3/20/13) and will need to be signed by a parent/guardian prior to any child attending day camp.  Camp is limited to 200 children per session so sign up today to secure your spot!  Call The Department of Community & Recreation Services with any questions at 477-4194.

2013 USSI Summer Sports Camp at East Greenbush Town Park 

The Town of East Greenbush Community & Recreation Department is pleased to announce the return of USSI summer sports camp at The Town of East Greenbush Town Park August 19th -30th.  This year we are offering 3 different sports programs with numerous sections to attend.  The Programs are The Total Play Multi Sports Camp for ages 5-12, Total Sports Squirts Camp for ages 3-5, and First Play Golf for ages 5-12.  Download your registration form below today as spots fill fast for this program. Run for Help 

The Community & Recreational Services Department is pleased to be assisting in the promotion of THE RUN FOR HELP for 2013.  THE RUN FOR HELP is a 5K race/walk against domestic violence held at Goff Middle School in East Greenbush, NY.  The run is in memory of Liza Ellen Warner and Nikki L. Hart.  All proceeds from the race will go to The Nikki Hart Children’s Memorial Fund & Unity House Domestic Violence Program.  The race will be held on Sunday, June 9th, 2013 at 10am.  There will be youth events including a youth mile, and 50 yard dash starting at 9:30am.  Visit www.active.com to register today or stop by The Community & Recreational Services Department and pick up a form today.  This event is sponsored by Family and Friends of Liza Ellen Warner Association, Inc.

2013 Music in The Park

 The dates and Musical Acts have been set for the annual Music in the Park Festival.  This year Music in the Park will once again be every Tuesday in August starting on August 6th and run through August 27th.  This year we have musical favorites The Band of Gold & Carmine Dio returning to participate.  We also have booked the Patsy Cline Experience with music provided by Courtney Shayne along with The Doc Scanlon Trio.  This program is brought to you by The Department of Community & Recreation Services.
