Representing the Judical branch of the local government, the Town of East Greenbush Justice Court is responsible for criminal, traffic, civil, environmental conservation, local law, and small claims matters occurring in the town. The court typically receives over 5,000 new cases every year and is in the top 7% of all town and village courts statewide.

Payments of fines or filing of small claims and civil cases may be done at the Justice Court weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Payment must be made in the form of cash, money order or certified check payable to the Town of East Greenbush Justice Court. For more information please call 477-5412.

History of East Greenbush

The history of the Town of East Greenbush dates back to 1628 when historians believe the first settlers arrived in the area. Today, East Greenbush has retained its small-town roots, while also serving as an important suburb of the City of Albany and home to many retail, corporate, and manufacturing businesses.
