The Town of East Greenbush Department for Community Services has completed the 2009 Rhythm and Rhymes Toddler Program.This program is designed to stimulate the minds of children who are walking to age 5 having not completed kindergarten. The children learned to interact with one another in a social situation. Parent participation is required. The Rhythm and Rhymes toddler program ran Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 4 weeks, starting 7/13 and go to 8/7. This program was held in Hampton Manor Park from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost was $25/week per child (2nd child $15/week). Each week had a theme with related stories, songs, crafts, snacks, motor and sensory activities and a special activity on Fridays. The themes were as follows: summer fun, all about animals, the 5 senses & nursery rhyme time.
