IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The Town of East Greenbush has received the updated assessment information files from Rensselaer County and has forwarded them to Bowne Management Company, so the AIS system can be updated to reflect all changes recently made by the Board of Assessment Review.
The Company has said it would take 10 days to update the system.

If you plan on filing for Small Claim Assessment Review, the Final Assessment Rolls are available at the Department of Assessment and should be used for this purpose.

The Town and the City Assessors are committed to valuing all properties accurately and equitably.  Information contained in the AIS information provided to this website is updated semi-annually or with the release of various assessment rolls, tax rate information and maps, which mandates its being offline for construction at  certain times. Please remember, Rensselaer County is made up of 14 Towns and 2 Cities.  The only municipalities that are on the AIS are East Greenbush, Schodack, Sand Lake, City of Rensselaer and the City of Troy.  While the AIS system must be taken offline at times for scheduled data maintenence , we still offer a superior tool than the majority of the County. Due to the Assessors' calendar, that is mandated by State Law, it is the best timeframe available to your municipality. So, again this year we thank for your understanding and patience.

Please call the Department of Assessment, with any questions you may have.

Susan F. McCarthy, Assessor
