*The Traffic Safety Committee has been temporarily suspended. This will be addressed by the Town Board for reinstatement after March 1, 2010.

The East Greenbush Traffic Safety Committee was formed on November 13, 2002 when the Town Board passed a resolution proposed by Coucilperson Dean Kennedy forming the committee. The committee was created to act as an advisory committe of town resident volunteers who would be assisted with relevant input from town department liasons, in making non-binding recommendations to the Town Board regarding traffic safety isssues involving potential traffic safety implications of proposed new projects in town or situations reported by residents' complaints .

The Public  Meetings are normally held on the 4th Wednesday each month, starting at 7:00pm.  Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings which are held at the Town Hall. We are always looking for Town Residents who may wish to volunteer their time and serve on this committee when we have openings for new members.  No previous Traffic Safety experience is required. Residents are encouraged to submit their letter of intent to Councilperson Dean Kennedy, East Greenbush Town Hall, 225 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
